From my personal perspective and made with Clyo
Across four LA Tech Week rooms, the same questions kept appearing in different language: who holds the advantage when AI gets cheap, which moats last and whether humans stay in the loop.
Investors stressed relationships and defensibility. Researchers expect closed-loop AI research and want open data made available for research. Enterprise speakers described adoption as limited by friction, regulation and client demand, or as a problem of slow adoption, depending on the room. Founders and creators described building around data, audiences and trust.
My read is that several groups rely on self-descriptions (relationships, leadership, research) as moats, and that the fear of AI replacing work keeps moving to a new group.
