We don’t want to consume; we want to engage. We don’t want to be entertained, like cogs in another manipulative quest down the perpetual funnel; we want to engage, as organic individuals, commune with an ever expanding humanity and world.
Thus, Chones creates impact on ecosystems, with the sensibility that
curation > reach.
Throughout 2024, while Chones did cultivate a Warpcast channel, we weren’t blasting across YouTube, Zora or Twitter! Time is too valuable to spend on gaining attention via feeds!

2024 has been a year of 293 👙 chones!
For a look back on 2023, see Chones Season 0 Ecosystem Impact.
Chones brings people, projects, brands, organizations, communities and ecosystems together, so everyone benefits. Honoring open source ethos, Chones supports cross pollination of information and resource sharing, so we’re not wasting time working in our own silos, parallel with each other, and instead evolving and innovating faster together. Chones is mutuality!

As expected, the best part of 2024 was the people!
January 2024, plor joined Chones as our technical weaver – Thank you plor! With you around, Chones has leveled up!
While everyone’s talking about composability, plor is actually putting the bricks together, like the onchain Lego Master Builder. He was cofounder of the Badger Cheese Club, is an agile initiate and while in conversation, will often reference Friedrich Hayek. If he travels to your event, consider it a significant validation, because his home is quite comfortable.
We collaborated with the ever inspiring Jordan, of Times New, on Virtual Hug, a physical garment and digital space project for the Crowdmuse Cyberphysical Design Contest, and Truth or Dare, a meme coin, DAO and AI agent project for the GAIA Autonomous Hackathon.
Supporting our dear friends from Ethereal Forest, we co-facilitated Local DAO Summer, a 6 week and 34 session virtual series of education around localism and decentralized governance.
With the exceptional support of the Icebreaker and Unlock Protocol teams, we introduced an easy way for event attendees to network with each other even after the event has ended and everyone has gone their separate ways. We wrote a how-to, so anyone can take advantage of this really useful integration.

In collaboration with Endaoment, we stewarded a FWB proposal that integrated philanthropy into FWB Fest. With the support of Base, we facilitated a donation to Art Share LA, an artists collective for unknown and up and coming local artists, who can now receive crypto donations.
We met weekly for Happy Hour with plor, a casual virtual meetup to share and workshop ideas together. Co-hosting with NounishProf, we brought together GMFarcaster, The Park, Base, TKN, Builder DAO, FWB and many more friends for late night drinks and billiards on the first night of BaseCamp. Crossing the North American continent, we hosted both the NYC and LA World Pizza Day parties, with Addigator in New York and BorrowLucid in Los Angeles! Thank you Sky and Tae for helping out with pizza party vibes! It’s always better with you there!

Already in 2025, we’re a fellow in Kernel Block X, hacking again on Truth or Dare for the Agentic Ethereum hackathon, leading partnerships for GFELxBoulder and Carrot Castle during EthDenver, planting seeds for another Base & Art Share LA collaboration, beginning plans for more free pizza in NYC and LA for Global Pizza Party, and meeting weekly for happy hour with plor!

My Farcon NYC Internet Friends long sleeve t-shirt is on its way in the mail. I’m wearing it at EthDenver, where I’ll hopefully score some GMFarcaster merch! The whole Chones team will be IRL in Denver. I still don’t understand why we go to Denver in February, but am very excited for us to be together, with as many friends and family as we can see in one week.
