What I want for Chones is to be the place you bring your treasure to, because you trust it will be honored, because you have been supported by us.
Thank you @Jordanisgreen for our conversation that helped me realize this.
Seems like every platform has promised some bullshit to builders and creators. Wattpad has regular contests that don’t actually award publishing. Zora commodifies digital art. Ghiblify with Chatgpt.
In response, I’ve inscribed a story on Bitcoin (thank you @plor!), gave physical zines away for free and publish these blogs on Chones website, not a blogging platform, like Substack or Medium.
Chones isn’t a SaaS, a protocol, nor a platform. It’s a network and a digital maker space. We have a Telegram channel and a website, but mostly it’s relationships, with brilliant and conscientious collaborators.
If I can pick one thing to guide us as we build and create, it’s to hold space for passion projects. The constraints protect individuals and projects from manipulation and extraction, not trap us into predatory terms and conditions.
To learn more about services, products, art and games from Chones friends & family, see our Network Offerings. And, if I stray from this north star, please hold me accountable.
